Trails near Linville Falls lead to three tiered falls over the Linville Gorge. The two trails to the falls, one upper and one lower are both strenuous and moderate hikes. The Linville Gorge is known as “the Grand Canyon of the Southen Appalachian”.
The Linville Falls trails has four over looks to the water falls. Please note that climbing on the rocks or swimming in the water falls are prohibited. The trails to the waterfall are worth the walk with wild flowers and foliage along the way.
